What is internet-: Internet is a network of network that is use to interconnect many different type of computers all over the world, we can  share file ,data everything etc one computer to another computer all over the world ,internet is wide area network it is easily to use  everywhere with the help of submarine cables





Submarine cables-: it is used to connect to the internet.





IP address 


IP-: IP address is unique number provided to each and every device it use use to connecting to internet and internet identify users with the help of IP address IP address is logical address its full form is(internet protocol),it is the form of integeric number which is separated by dot(.)

Ex-: 192.168.45.15   


There are two type of IP address

1.Private IP : It is use to connect to internet they are connect local or personal devices router provide private IP and connect within devices, phone, laptop, printer, scanner, etc connected in router from private IP, private IP communicate between same network. private IP work in LAN(local area network)

2. Public IP : It is use to communicate outside the network ,ISP(internet service provider) provide public IP it is communicate site or server on the internet


There are two type version of IP


1.ipv4 

2.ipv6


1.Ipv4-: * Its length is 32 bits.

* 4 octet(block) in ipv4

* Every block is 8 bits.



      

         * Its range is 0 -255

` * 4 billion ip address create in ipv4  

Ex-: 192.168.157.12


 


Class in ipv4



2.ipv6-: * its length is 128 bits

* 8 octet(block) in ipv6

* its range is 0 to FFFF(65536)

* 340 trillion ip create in ipv6

* this is separated  by (:)

* combination of hexadecimal and number 

Ex-: 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334
